«Coronavirus_info» case entered the top five European Excellence Awards
The coronavirus campaign «Coronavirus_info» from the Institute of Cognitive Modeling was shortlisted for the prestigious international award European Excellence Awards 2020 in two categories at once.
The case was included in the top five most effective campaigns in the categories «Problem and reputation management (COVID-19)» and «Multi-channel communication». The Institute of Cognitive Modeling competed in the same category with such international organizations as Facebook, Deutsche Post, and others.
«Coronavirus_info» has become an effective mechanism for informing Ukrainians about the threats of COVID-19 and measures to prevent it. In 3 days, the community «Coronavirus_info» in Viber became the largest, and the Telegram channel entered the rating of the most reliable channels about COVID-19 in the world. The campaign brought together dozens of public figures and socially responsible companies. By using traditional and digital tools, the Institute of Cognitive Modeling has managed to build an effective system of interaction between government, business, and society to achieve a common goal – fight coronavirus. In total, the information campaign against COVID-19 reached 27.7 million Ukrainians.
«Coronavirus_info» is the largest information campaign in Ukraine. It is structured and systematized, with the results recorded by leading companies such as Google, Facebook, Viber, and Telegram. To implement the project, we cooperated with global digital giants, and this can be seen as a successful case of public-private partnership in the field of communication. This project is a response to a powerful social challenge. We are glad that the international community has noted this,» said Viktor Berezenko, founder of the Institute.
The European Excellence Awards cover projects from branding to crisis communications and annually become a forum for European companies to discuss the greatest communication achievements all over Europe.
«Since the first recorded case of the disease in Ukraine, our team has worked seven days a week, 24/7, to help Ukrainians overcome anxiety, fears and timely inform them on how to protect themselves and their loved ones. When we looked at the statistics of infected people every day and implemented new communication solutions, the last thing we thought about was any kind of reward. Nevertheless, we are pleased that the effectiveness of our volunteer project was highly appreciated by the international community. This award is an indicator that we are doing the right thing,» said Svitlana Paveletska, CEO of the Institute.
The Institute of Cognitive Modeling was recently shortlisted for another award in the field of communication, the Effie Awards, with the national psychological support platform «Tell me».
The Institute of Cognitive Modeling provides communication support to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. In partnership with Facebook, the information campaign on the coronavirus pandemic covered 15 million Ukrainians, and in cooperation with Google 6.7 million. ICM has created the largest Viber and Telegram community «Coronavirus_info», which has almost 4 million followers, the largest educational community in Ukraine «School_info» and the free psychological assistance service «Tell me». The company also provides informational support to TV channels Kyiv.live and Odesa.live.
